Essay

There were defined the general patterns of influence of the chemical composition, conditions of synthesis and obtaining on the thermoelectric properties of both pure and doped lead telluride (PbTe: Na (Bi, I, Ni)), Solid Solutions based of it (PbTe-Zn (Cd) Te, PbTe-Sb2Te3, PbTe- SnTe) and layered compounds PbBi4Te7, PbSb2Te4. It was examined their defect subsystem, which determines the pre-specified type of conductivity and optimal thermal efficiency. There were also elaborated the process cards and the control methods of parameters these materials for medium thermoelectric power converters.
