Kuzhel I. The System of Psychological Care to caregivers of terminally ill cancer patients in palliative medicine

It was studied the 150 family caregivers of terminally ill cancer patients and 42 per-sons of medical staff worked in palliative medicine to defined patterns of psychological disadaptation in relatives and professional disadaptation in medical staff. This study in-clude establishment of psycho-emotional state and distress, personal and behavioral pat-terns of terminally ill cancer patients and their relatives, a family functioning in relation-ship to relative disadaptation; was selected factors of professional maladjustment in medi-cal staff, systematized types of interaction in the system "patient - relative - medical staff - psychologist". It was developed the algorithm of psychological care, that including psy-chodiagnostic, psychoeducation and psychological correction. Based on the data formulated the concept, developed and implemented in clinical practice of psychological care to individuals who take care of the terminally ill cancer pa-tients, based on a holistic and combination of individualized and differentiated approach by the contents and nature of the assistance.
