Ivahova L. Treatment of infertility in women with herpes virus infection in Assisted Reproductive Technologies programs

The research work is devoted to analyzing the efficiency of infertility treatment in women with herpes virus infection in Assisted Reproductive Technologies programs. The use of a treatment and prevention complex allowed to increase the efficiency of treating female infertility accompanied by herpes virus infection. The expediency of use of the above complex has been proved by studying the microbiocenosis, the hormonal homeostasis indices, the factors and mechanisms of non-specific and specific immune defenses against infection, and by evaluating the ovarian reserve and the cytokines levels. The developed complex of treatment and preventive measures has lead to the normalization of immune and hormonal homeostasis as well as the ovarian function. The suggested treatment and preventive measures for infertile women with herpes virus infection resulted in a stable and full clinical and lab remission of the disease and ensured high frequency of spontaneous pregnancy (52.8 %) among such women, as compared to those who received traditional treatment (23.5 %). During the Assisted Reproductive Technologies program, pregnancy occurred in 29.6 % of women from Group I and 15.4 % of women from Group II.
