At first in dissertation was fully analyzed the state-legal sights of the professor W. B. Antonowich in ukrainian legal science, their value for development of domestic legal science. Established socio-historical background and theoretical origins of the Antonowich state-legal opinions, reconstructed his career development as a historian. A special discussion about the social and political activities of the scientist. Should be noted the valuable contribution of the scientist in researching of sources and memorials of the Ukrainian right, magdeburg and ordinary right.
