Object of research: process of realization of power in the conditions of developing markets. Purpose of research: development of conception of economic power and mechanisms of her adjusting on the basis of research of nature, structure and evolution of economic power from positions of institutional theory. Methods of research: methods of analysis and synthesis, approach of the systems, methods of theoretical comparison and generalization. Results: determination of methodological principles of research of институционализма as direction, plugging conception of economic power in the analysis; generalization of determination of economic power as categories of economic theory; perfection of tool of forming of economic power on the basis of analysis of basic elements of imperious relations : reasons of origin, aims for the sake of which power comes true, sources and instruments of realization of power; development of institutional conception of evolution of economic power; determination of features of evolution of economic power, including in Ukraine; research of scientific theories and approaches to the problem of economic power and models of power in an economic theory; development of mechanism of limitation of economic power, including in the conditions of modern economy. Novelty: First: institutional conception of evolution of economic power is worked out; the mechanism of functioning of counterbalancing power is worked out.
