The thesis is one of the first complex monographic research on the participation of lawyers in activities to prevent crimes in modern national criminological science. A comprehensive analysis of content, legal status, tasks and functions of advocacy in Ukraine has been carried out and on this basis it was concluded the formal involvement of large potential of lawyers in the system of crime prevention subjects in this type of social activity.
