Rybchak O. Shady Economics and peculiarities of its development in Ukraine

The thesis is devoted to the research of the shady economics issues, theoretical, methodological and practical principles of its forming and functioning, as well as to the peculiarities of its development in Ukraine. Historical and economical stages of shadow economy development in Ukraine have been determined, its nature, criteria characteristics, structure, and classification have been defined. Reasons for appearing and the conformity with law in transformation economies have been described with the purpose of restricting its negative influence on economic development. Methodological and methodical approaches for determining the shady economics scale, mechanisms of forming shadow and open economies, social and economic results of hiding economic activities have been shown; the size of modern shady economics in Ukraine has been analyzed. The necessity, role, functions and methods of the state involvement in reducing informality have been shown; some methods applied for Ukrainian economy have been suggested. The complex of measures the state might take for influencing shady economics, and economic methods for legalization of fraudulent gains in Ukraine have been proposed. The strategy for applying the measures has been developed.
