Shevchuk O. Substantiation of use extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy in children with stones of kidneys and ureters

The dissertation is devoted improvement of results of treatment of stone disease at children by well-founded use extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy. This work basis on the analysis of results of treatment of 137 children, age from 1,5 till 18 years, from which 63 (46 %) the boys and 74 (54 %) girls, with stones of kidneys and ureters. Patients were on treatment in SI "Institute of the Urology NAMS of Ukraine" with 1998 for 2010, have received treatment by a method ESWL. It is proved that carrying out ESWL at children at the age from 1,5 till 18 years and with the size of a stone from 0,6 to 2,6см probably and effectively adhering to indications and contra-indications, and corresponding parameters. It is established that the density of stones of kidneys and ureters at children corresponds low and average, than their good fragmentation speaks. That allows to refuse carrying out CT with a densitometry of a stone for the purpose of forecasting of efficiency of its destruction at ESWL
