Moussienko O. Film producer as a creative personality in the audiovisual culture.

The dissertation analyses creative nature of the film producer’s work in Ukraine and worldwide. It uses a comparative study approach to determine profession’s most efficient film production models and thoroughly studies the issue from both historical and cultural perspectives. Film production is a stage process involving close collaboration of all those implicated in the creative work on the project: script writer, director, actors – the whole creative team. The dissertation investigates film producer’s work at the each stage of film creation. The history of film production in Ukraine is analyzed in the context of the socio-cultural changes that the country has envisaged throughout the XX and first decade of the XXI centuries. The accent is being put on the importance of the creative function of the film producer in the Ukrainian cinema’s revival.
