Kadhom L. Characteristics the Extreme Films in the Documentary Cinema.

The dissertation studies the specificity of the extreme in cinematography. Its topicality lie in fields as diverse as anthropology, sociology and culture. Our study focuses in particular on the human interactions in society, art and life in general. The author studies the documentary film that records this reality. In the arsenal of this cinematography, there is a segment - never studied before - that is rooted in a kind of film denoting an extreme character. This phenomenon, also reflected in the art of documentary, the author calls the Extreme Documentary Film. In order to determine the specifics of this kind of film, the author relies on the work of Western film critics that have designated them by different terms such as "Ardent, touching, disturbing, subversive" (A. Vogel) or "Limitless, unhinged, able to change our way of thinking" (A. Bazin)
