Essay

The study identified structural-functional model of research skills and specified the types of skills in accordance with the principle of research activity hierarchy. Methodical system for students' research skills formation in secondary school was developed based on structural-functional model of research skills. Methodical system provides for the implementation of direct and inverse connections of its components and subject-subject interaction between educational process participants. Didactic conditions for students' research skills development were determined to ensure the efficiency of this process. There have been discovered the specific features of forming research skills: a system of learning tasks, biological objects and phenomena models, and modelling of cognitive processes of the subjects of the research process. Teaching resources of the developed guidance system have been worked out and implemented.
