Essay

The thesis is devoted to the solution of the scientific problem of increasing the probability of automatic target detection in optoelectronic search and track systems for small sized objects in nonuniform clutter. The problem is solved by application of matched nonlinear filtering in the wavelet detail decomposition domain. The improved mathematical model of target environment forming and path in the optoelectronic search and track system is made for the investigation of the process of digital image forming. The new method for image processing which is based on total variation processing of wavelet details decomposition is proposed. The recommendations for adjusting the wavelet basis to the parameters of optoelectronic search and track system are formulated. The results of the experimental studies of the detection probability of small target observed at nonuniform clutter in optoelectronic search and track system are presented.
