Liashuk N. Ukrainians' Autostereotypes in the Perception of the Volyn People

This dissertation includes a detailed definition of the concept "stereotype" on the interdisciplinary level. A set of the language units which represent the most typical Ukrainian boy's and Ukrainian girl's (man's / woman's) features in the folk genres are identified. The results of the sociolinguistic experiment are analyzed by polling three age groups of the respondents. The lexical and grammar means are analyzed in order to accomplish language constructing of the national character's autostereotype by different groups of the respondents. The ways of the formation and the factors which influence the statics and dynamics of the modern autostereotypes are traced.
