The work investigates the whole corpus of Uliana Kravchenko's fiction. The research focuses on the analysis of lyric type of writer's endowment that, having been manifested most completely in her poetry, also influenced the fictional structure of prose and drama. Chosen aspect of investigation relies on I. Franko's expression about Uliana Kravchenko's "far greater ability" to writing lyric poetry. Exclusively lyric way of artistic thinking is represented in her poetry collections: "Prima Vera" (1885), "To a New Way" (1891), "Snowdrops" (1921), "Set out" (1921), "Swansong" (1924), "There Is Something in Life" (1929), "Everything for Her!" (1931), "Rustle to Us, Periwinkle" (1932), "Caritas" (1935). The figurative-motive system of named collections reveals the domination of so-called leading neo-romantic discourse in the lyric narrative. The specific feature of the leading neo-romantic discourse is rendering of social and national problems that should be correctly solved by a worthy of their vocation identity. Important topoi that assist in structuring the author's ideas are the characters of stonemason, titan, giant of spirit, female leader, all of which commence the noble affair of awakening the nation's consciousness. With the nation itself in Uliana Kravchenko's lyrics intangibly corresponds the symbolic and realistic poetics of landscape, individual, and social contrasts that are significant to a poet-leader. Adjacent to the two mentioned discourses is a motif of serving to a nation by cultivating the young generation's high civil sense by means of fiction word; this motif is represented in the poetry collections for youth. The religious poetry collection "Caritas" is also inspirited with national coloring. The confession of lyrical "I" in this collection is a peculiar mystery of Ukrainian soul's touch to the centre of Universe - God and Our Lady. The Our Lady motif of this collection is designated with distinct features of Orant symbol.
