Essay

The problem of enhancement heat transfer duty of heat exchangers for liquid flows handling is considered in the thesis. The new dimensionless complex the surface number - is proposed to characterize the fluid flow and possibilities to enhance heat transfer process. It is shown that addition of SAS in estimated concentrations to heat exchanged flows ensures the overall heat transfer increasing for shell-and-tube unit up to 40% while the pressure drop did not increase.
