In this paper we studied the psychological peculiarities of developing visual thinking of students of musical specialties. Investigated peculiarities of developing structural components of visual thinking of students-pianists and students-vocalists, as well as peculiarities of development of structural components of musical professional capacities. There has been established the link between the structural components of visual thinking and other structural components of musical professional capacities of students of musical specialties. Developed and tested the training program on developing visual thinking of students of musical specialties
