Essay

Objectives are to investigate genre peculiarities of comedies by I. Tobilevych. These peculiarities are caused by drama enrichment in terms of topics and imagery, namely in its intertextuality, and by structural genre changes as well as dynamics of the spectator's (reader's) perception. For the first time comedies by I. Tobilevych are analyzed from the viewpoint of genre heterogeneity which is represented both on structural and receptive levels. Methods: structural, historical criticism, typological, intertextual analysis, receptive esthetics. Field of application - higher school.
