Object of research is mathematical methods and their employment to solve scientific problems of agriculture in the first half of the 20th century. Subject of research is theoretical, methodological and practical questions of the employment of mathematical methods in the context of the development of native agriculture. The thesis is a systematic research of scientific opinion on the introduction of mathematical methods to solve scientific problems of national agronomy in the first half of the twentieth century. There was made a comprehensive analysis of prerequisites implementation of mathematical methods for solving scientific and practical problems of agronomy. Were analyzed main areas of application of mathematical methods in agronomical science first half of the twentieth century. Determined that such areas are the methods of mathematical statistics and probability theory, and then the methods used differential expression. Were discovered and analyzed key principles and stages of implementation of mathematical approaches in agronomic research in the first half of the twentieth century.
