Vil'chynska D. Agricultural Research at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Emperor Alexander II (1898-1917)

The object of the research is the formation and development of agricultural science and research in Ukraine (end of XIX-beginning of XX century). The subject of the research is the activity of the Agricultural Department of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Emperor Alexander II, in the scientific ensuring of agrarian sector of the region. As a result of historical and scientific analysis the author proved exceptional value of the institutes of the Imperial era in the formation-process of agricultural science and education on the territory of modern Ukraine, definite the contribute of the well-known scientists-agrarians-professors, instructors and graduates of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute of XIX-beginning of XX century - to the development of agronomic science and research. The author analyzed the enlightening activity in the agrarian sector, which was carried out by scientists of the Institute.
