The study includes the solving of complex theoretical and practical issues that arise in criminal and legal relations concerning the commission of destruction, forgery or replacement of the units' numbers and assemblies of the vehicle and legal responsibility for the offense. The thesis deals with the problem of object and subject of an offense under Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the conditions and forms of criminalization of the objective side, characteristics of the subject and the subjective side of this crime. The work analyzes the application of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and its correlation with other related crimes and offenses, examines the types of punishment for the crime. The study formulates the theoretical principles and provides practical advice on the correct application of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A new version of this article is proposed.
