Gaponova L. Formation of Ukrainian criminalistic terminology.

The thesis examines UCT formation process and studies its lexical-semantic phenomena. The nomination specifics and derivational processes in modern criminalistics term system are investigated. UCT development process is traced and peculiarities of its formation are defined. UCT nomination ways are characterized, as well as derivational processes ratio and word-formative formants range. Criminalistic term functioning is analysed at lexical paradigmatics level: synonymic paradigm is investigated, antonymic relations and reasons of polysemy appearance in UCT are determined. The ways of UCT development are outlined. Practical recommendations are suggested as to further normalization, unification and standardization of modern UCT.
