Essay

Object of research: the interaction of plural-component solution which con-tains volatile components and the gas containing soluble and hard soluble compo-nents. Aim: making the scientific basis for designing of apparatus for distillation liq-uid evaporation in direct contact with flue gases. Methods and apparatus: physical modeling of contact cascade type devices containing cone elements in laboratory conditions, visual observation of the interaction of liquid with gas and instrumental measuring, methods of chemical analysis and numerical methods for solving the in-verse problem in the study of patterns of heat and mass transfer, methods of mathe-matical statistics - regression and nonlinear analysis, methods of mathematical mod-eling. Theoretical and practical results: the mechanism of fuel gas and soda ash production distillation waste liquid interaction and influence of moisture evaporation on the kinetics of acidic components sorption; recommendations for the design of in-dustrial installations for evaporation of distillation suspension by exhaust flue gases; method of estimation of parameters of soda ash production waste liquid evaporation on cascade type contact trays. Novelty: at the first time the hydrodynamics of interac-tion of liquid and gas on cascade type contact elements with cone elements was in-vestigated, the dependence of hydraulic resistance of irrigated and dry contact trays via the gas velocity and density of irrigation, flow regimes in conical bodies, forming a contact element was experimentally investigated, the mathematical equations for calculations of contact trays heat and mass transfer characteristics dependence on the velocity of gas and density of irrigation was obtained, further development of the de-scription of the mechanism of interaction of fuel gas and soda production distillation slurry regarding the influences of moisture evaporation on the kinetics of acidic com-ponents sorption. Degree of implementation: results of work were implemented in practice of JSC "Crimean Soda Plant", the teaching process of NTU "KPI". Scope: chemical industry.
