For the first time in Ukrainian linguistics the dissertation explores family ceremony vocabulary of Sian River dialect, brings into scientific use names of wedding and bearing ceremonies, analyzes its structural and semantic organization, word-formative and motivational characteristics. Thematic groups of bearing and wedding vocabulary, in particular lexicological and semantic groups of names of ceremonies and rituals and names of ceremonial participants, are being analyzed in comparable, etymological, motivational, and areal aspects.
