The dissertation is the first research of Vasyl Symonenko's art style evolution in the Ukrainian literary criticism based on a diachronic and synchronic analysis of different genres of text movement in lyrical, liro-epic and epic channels (poetic and prosaic), features of the dramatic art writing (for a theatre and cinema) and polishing of a translator skills. The theory and methodological foundation developed by the author of the thesis connecting in an entire complex concept of the text and composition, individual style and micropoetics are applied in the course of the comparative analysis of archival materials, lifetime publications in the press, a sound recording of products in execution of the author, an epistolary heritage, diary records, written and oral memoirs of contemporaries. A number of not printed author's compositions but already known ones are released from various stratifications - as acceptable and autoacceptable caused by ideological pressure and technical oversights are entered and analyzed in a scientific turn. For the first time it was done their certification and the dating was specified. The first part of the dissertation is dedicated to the theoretical outlining of the basic terms and meanings in the scientific work, their explanation and defining our own understanding of some debatable questions in order to achieve an effective practical usage of the categories. There were analyzed some the most useful explanation of a style such as norm, decoration, deflection, genre or type of language, symptom, spirit or some people world-view, sign, expression, evocation, connotation and exemplification. Two other key terms are studied in the work, they are a composition and a text and their mutual agreement. The theoretical bases of this point of view is based on the affirmation of textology not as an "auxiliary" field of the literary study but as a fundamental philological discipline which investigates texts of fiction in order to test them critically, renews them with adding comments, studies the history of a text, traces its connection with cultural context, defines art optimal variants, pays attention to another author's works and not only his, pays attention to mutual influences esthetic positions and art intentions.
