Fedorchuk О. Organizational and legal activities of the State Automobile Inspectorate (DAI) URSR (1935-1946).

The thesis, by studying a variety of sources, theoretical analysis of the legal literature, examined organizational and legal activities DAI URSR during 1935-1946. The study highlighted and described the stages of the police in the area of safety and regulation of road traffic during the first half of XXth century, analysis of regulatory and legal framework in the field of traffic and activity of DAI URSR (1935-1946). It was found the structure of the DAI of Ukraine, its transformation according to socio-economic and socio-political situation. The work determined the factors that influenced on the process of developing new regulations in the field of traffic surveillance, traffic control, enforcement of the rules and regulations. Based on a systematic approach to studying the problem specifically mentioned features and the specifics of the units in the State Automobile Inspectorate of USSR prewar, wartime and postwar periods. Thesis is indicated, that DAI activity was characterized by a gradual increase of its functions and powers, diversification of forms and methods of work.
