Pavlyshyn H. The discourse of Maria Matios' prose

The thesis deals with the study of Maria Matios' discourse prose from the literary history perspective. The artistic specificity of the writer's epic works, characterized by traditions, innovations and search for the perfect artistic form, is analyzed in the work. Literary and critical reception features of Maria Matios' works, her concepts of humanism and Bukovyna studies, epic pluralistic vision, interpreted through the optics of modern kitsch, that deepened significantly the understanding of correlating modernism and postmodernism tendencies in the writer's discourse prose, are considered. Intertextual notions of Maria Matios' epic works are interpreted regarding artistic details, archetypes, symbols and language units. The features of time and space relationships, genre models, architectonics techniques, plot and character creation are studied. Specific artistic style of Maria Matios' writing as well as her stylistic paradigm combining harmoniously traditional and postmodernistic concepts are ascertained.
