Posmitna V. Cognitive and Pragmatic Features of Speech Influence in Military Discourse

The object is the speech influence in Ukrainian military discourse. Тhe aim is to detect сognitive and pragmatic factors providing speech influence's effectiveness in modern Ukraine. Мethods are purposive choise, generalization, systematization of theoretical materials, classification, сognitive, semantic, descriptive analysis, elements of discourse analysis, functional-stylistic and aesthetic analysis. Novelty – for the first time a specific character of strategy and tactics of speech іnfluence in Ukrainian military discourse was found, indicators of manipulative speech іnfluence were determined and characterized, and also special features of speech lever usage in the branch media and in the Ukrainian military men's oral communicative practice, a model of speech influence in the military discourse was substantiated and approved. The results of the research can be used by military men and law-enforcement employees in the professional communication: in dealings with a crowd and some civil individuals during safeguard, in public speeches at meetings and before subdivisions' personnel, in educational talks, in classes, during guard duty and military trainings, in preparing materials for publication in periodical edition; in addition, the results of the research can be used in the teaching at the courses of stylistics of Ukrainian, of speech communication, of the professional Ukrainian language, of rhetoric, at the special courses of sociolinguistics, сognitive linguistics, рragmalinguistics, military training and education.
