The current thesis is dedicated to the study of issues related to flax introduction in vitro as well as its transformation, selection, regeneration and rooting of transgenic shoots. As a result of flax genetic transformation using Eleusine indica (L.) Gaertn-derived mutant ?-tubulin gene, transgenic lines of Mogilevsky 2 variety have been obtained, characterized by the resistance to dinitroaniline herbicides. The selection scheme in the presence of trifluraline basing on the use of mutant ?-tubulin gene from E. indica as a selective marker gene of plant origin that confers the dinitroaniline herbicides resistance,. Molecular analysis confirmed the genetic modification of the obtained lines. It was established that the mutant ?-tubulin gene from E. indica has been effectively integrated into all types the arrays of microtubules in plant cells, insuring the higher resistance to the herbicides.
