The theses are dedicated to optimization of surgical treatment of the patients with varicose disease of small saphenous vein with a glance of its anatomo-haemodynamic peculiarities. As the result of investigation of representative groups of patients by the method of duplex ultrasonography we created algorithm of duplex investigation of the patients with prognosed varicose disease of small saphenous vein, described the main haemodynamic patterns of small saphenous system incompetence which allowed us to determine the whole amount of varicose changes in every concrete case. On the basis of statistical and submicroscopical investigations we worked out tactic algorithm of surgical treatment of patients with varicose disease of small saphenous vein. Using of this algorithm allowes, grounding surgical or miniinvasive (US-guided sclerotherapy) method of treatment, to improve the results of surgical interventions, to shorten hospital stay, to reduce the amount of complications and recurrences in this category of patients.
