Maksimenko O. Features and modifications of writers’ diaries of the XX – early XXI centuries.

The dissertation is devoted to the definition and characterization of genre of writers' diaries modifications of late XX – early XXI centuries. The work is an attempt of a comprehensive study of the genre of blog, the dynamics of its formation, metagenre structure of diary, modern interpretation of diary in cyberspace as „online diary” and „blog”, features of diary prose written by Oles Gonchar, Kostiantyn Moskalets, Volodymyr Drozd, Petro Soroka, Maria Matios. Diaries of Alexander Dovzhenko and Arkady Lyubchenko are also examined. The paper considers theoretical aspects of diary genre, genre modifications of diaries of the late XX – early XXI centuries are explored, the modern history of weblogs is analyzed. The author gives genre analysis of blogs submitted by contemporary writers (Yuriy Andrukhovych, Kostiantyn Moskalets, Oksana Zabuzhko), defines genre features of these works. For the first time metagenre nature of diaries as a part of memoirs works is considered.
