The dissertation provides an analysis of the constitutional and legal foundations of language policy and their implementation in Ukraine. The genesis of the language policy in Ukraine and the methodology of scientific research of language policy are researched. The content is analysed and the legal assessment of the conceptual provisions of legal, historical, political, sociological research works of language policy in Ukraine are given. The conclusion about the absence of complex legal research works in this area is made.
