Chiz N. Existential discourse in wartime diary (Olexandr Dovzhenko - Oles Honchar - Arkady Lyubchenko).

The thesis investigates the Ukrainian wartime literature, namely the genre of the diary, which has until recently belonged to discriminated genres and has been subject to censorship and bill. For the first time in Ukrainian literary the attempt of comprehensive study of wartime prose as a part of the existential cultural project is made. Based on the analysis of individual texts a new concept of war as a theme, motif and archetype in our literature is implemented. The specifics of implementation of the key reasons of "border situations" for existential thinking in the example of individual authors' texts and artistic functions of death, suffering, sacrifice, choice existentials are traced.
