Pahl O. The Ukrainian fable ХІХ - the XX century: the nature, evolution, poetics.

This work shows a review of the development of the genre from its origin to the present status, also tracking the genre evolution in national literature. It also shows the specifity of genre poetics which consists of emotionality of author's speech and provides a satiric effect, by frequently using phraseological connections which help to realise didactics, dynamism, laconic composition, the presence of national characteristics in vivid resources, that provide lightness of perception of subject and help to understand the allegoric vivid system of works. Further specifity of genre consists of "subjective" lines of poetics that were used by separate fabulists of the XIX-XXth centuries and also the beginning of the XXIth century.
