Mozgova V. Public works as a means of criminal punishment

In the dissertation public works as a kind of punishment, feature of its standard regulation and legal practice of application are investigated. The history of occurrence of this punishment in territory of Ukraine is analyzed. The concept is investigated and features of the maintenance of public works as punishment kind reveal. It is specified, that the complex of legal restrictions condemned to public works is applied to the person in a way of its attraction to socially useful work, and degree of legal restrictions directly connected with duration and frequency of departure of the given punishment. Criteria to which should answer such socially useful works are specified. The place of public works in system of punishments is defined.
