By building the existential concept in the works by V.Vynnychenko and Hео Shkurupy the existential peculiarities of boredom as incentive to dive into the world of human mask are investigated. The general principles of masks' ontology in the carnival poetics of writers' novels are outlined in the frames of the analysis of parody as modernistic way of reality interpretation. The mask phenomenon in the discursive terms is based on the means of expressing its topology on narrative and narrational levels of literary text.
