Delva D. Correction of cell - membrane dysfunction in treatment of epilepsy in children and adolescents.

The thesis is devoted to the issue of modern neuroscience - improving treatment strategy for children and adolescents with idiopathic generalized epilepsy on the basis of complex clinical-neurological, laboratory (determination of the level endothelin-1 and nitric oxide, malonic aldehyde and diene conjugates, ceruloplasmin activity and saturation iron transferrin, middle molecular weight), instrumental (computer electroencephalography) examination. Developed, tested and implemented in clinical practice way to treat patients with idiopathic generalized epilepsy of children and adolescents with Thiotriazoline, which normalizes the level of endothelial factors, reduces the imbalance between rates of oxidant and antioxidant systems leads to a decrease of endogenous intoxication in comparison with conventional therapy contributes to better clinical results, optimizing the overall effect of therapy, increases the functional activity of the cerebral cortex, no side effects and well tolerated by patients.
