Experimental studies were performed on 440 white mongrel male rats. We used physiological (electrical evaluation of tissue), pathophysiological (modeling of hypothyroidism, trauma, and their combination), biochemical (determination of blood TSH, T3, T4, MMM, DC, MDA, SOD, catalase, level of alpha-tocopherol in the blood and brain tissue), statistical methods. The study developed the experimental model of severe mechanical trauma that occured on the background of hypothyroidism in rats. The application of mexidol in rats with hypothyroidism, severe mechanical trauma and their combination was studied.
