Duvalko O. Choice of methods and tactics of surgical treatment of patients with tumors of the common bile duct

The work was based on retro-and prospective analysis results of complex diagnostics and surgical treatment of 166 patients with the common bile duct tumors, treated in the clinic in period. Diagnostic possibilities of main instrumental methods of investigation were evaluated, diagnostic and therapeutic algorithm in patients with the common bile duct tumors was developed that made it possible to set correct diagnosis and stage of the disease preoperatively. Risk factors for postoperative complications and mortality were determined. Indications for two-stage treatment in patients with the common bile duct tumors were developed that made it possible to reduce significantly severe complications and relaparotomy.
