Political marketing is definited as the system including theoretical knowledge and practical activities and connecting political and market methods of complex management by political processes, which main objective is an exchange of offers for support of electorate and satisfaction of requirements of voters, basic elements of the political marketing system are allocated. The basic features of political marketing in modern Ukraine and specific of political advertising are defined. Political advertising is allocated as communication form of the political marketing system between its subjects and objects. The basic functions of advertising in political marketing system are allocated and analyzed: information, images', manipulative, symbolical. Text and symbolical means of political advertising and technology of their application are characterized.
