Kelba S. The architectural and planning organization of entry complexes in large and largest cities in Ukraine

The object of research: entry complexes in large and the largest cities and groups of buildings which are included in their composition. Objective: to determine the principles of architecture and planning organization and the development of scientific advice on the study and design of public buildings at the entrances to large and the largest cities of Ukraine. Methods: a comparative analysis - a comparison of data of domestic and foreign experience in design, graphic-analytical, organizing and summarizing the scientific and methodological literature, experimental design and implementation of research results in architectural practice. Scientific novelty of the results is in the complex architectural and planning determining, functionally technological, volume-spatial structures, means of artistic expressiveness large and the largest city’s complexes. The paper summarizes the scientific and theoretical research, design and construction experience in the field of entry complexes. There are identified basic factors that influence the formation of entry complexes. Entry complexes in large and the largest cities are classified. The range of such complexes is suggested. The principles of entry complex structures formation are named. The practical significance of these results is the possibility of using the developed classification, nomenclature and principles in the practice of designing the new entrance facilities of large and major cities, and in use during the design change of the functions previously erected building. Also, the results can be used in the learning process in teaching discipline of architectural design and further research on this topic. Testing and implementation of the results. The main results are presented and endorsed by the scientific conferences of the Kiev National University of Construction and Architecture (2007-2010). The main provisions, conclusions and recommendations are used in a real design projecting in the scientific and architectural office LICENCEARCH (project of the office complex "Odessa Gate" on the Glushkov ave. in Kiev, the project of the office and administrative complex at the Stolichne highway in Kiev, the project of public complex "Bridge-Hotel " in Kiev), made ??plans for a thematic course and diploma projects in the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.
