Vyrsta N. Formation and development of Pokuttya antroponymy.

For the first time the thesis gives a complex analysis of the last names Pokuttya. The object of research are modern 11090 last names collected by expeditionary way, and more than 6600 last names fixed during their formation, written from the Joseph and the Franciscan metrics. The main groups of proper and common names, which later served as the etymon of last names Pokuttya, are considered and fixed. The basic sources of last names Pokuttya formation are defined, in particular men's Christian names in different structural forms, hereditary and individual nicknames, appellative person definition. Derivational-structural analysis of last names revealed performance of the usage of last names Pokuttya fixed in the late XVIII and early ХІХ centuries and today. A complex analysis of last names Pokuttya proved showing regional differences, they are a part of the Ukrainian antroponymic system.
