Volkov Y. Berry Rots of Grapevine in the South of Ukraine and Improvement of Measures Aimed at the Limitation of their Development

The Thesis is concerned with occurrence, injuriousness and bioecological developmental peculiarities of pathogenic agents causing berry rots of grapevine in the south of Ukraine as well as with elaboration and improvement of protection measures aimed at the limitation of their development. The species composition of pathogenic agents causing berry rots of grapevine has been determined in vineyards located in the south of Ukraine. Grape varieties in culture have been differentiated as to their susceptibility to gray rot and black rots. The effect of development of grape berry black rot on the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of yield has been studied.Regularities governing the formation of the mycocomplex of pathogenic agents causing rots on the generative organs of grapevine have been estab-lished.The technical and economical effectiveness of schemes to protect grapevine against berry rots has been determined.
