In the paper the specific crime of internal affairs officer, which is regarded as part of crime in law enforcement, and the last - as part of crime in the area of performance management. Comprehensive criminological characteristics of abuse of power or position of internal affairs officer are given. The level and dynamics, latency, structure, geography of crime, characterized by identity of the perpetrator, the singularities motivate criminal behavior. General and specific features to prevent abuse of power or position of internal affairs officer of Ukraine on social specially-criminological and individual levels are studied.
