Klymenko І. Justification of therapeutic approach in patients with acute urinary retention due to benign prostatic hyperplasia

The dissertation solves the actual problem of urology that lies in advancing the quality of secondary care in patients with acute urinary retention (AUR) due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPН) through scientific substantiation and development of method of prediction of the results after conservative treatment by means of integral estimation of certain and quantitatively self-weighted informative clinical and laboratory signs of the well-known, widespread diagnostic methods, that stipulates the possibility to use it in all types of medical institutions, that has a medical and social implication, as allows to decrease the amount of perioperative complications, mortality, and also to decrease the financial charges on treatment of this category of patients.The investigation included 141 hospitalized patients with an AUR due to BPН, treated conservatively. The results of this treatment were estimated; factors that have an influence on the efficiency of therapy were studied and evaluated. The method of prediction of the results after conservative treatment in patients with AUR due to BPН, was worked out.
