Ponasenko A. The creative works of Bogdan Rubchak and the esthetics of the New-York group

In this synthetic-analytical research of B. Rubchak's literary and critical work the main features of the writer's creative work are revealed and systematized from the standpoint of the esthetical heritage of the New-York group. In the thesis the characteristics of the B. Rubchak's literary and critical views is provided. In the research project the ideological and the esthetic peculiarities of the poet's lyrics are thoroughly analyzed, the intertextuality is revealed as one of the main features of poetry, the intermedial dimension of his lyrics is designated, the problematic and the stylistic peculiarities of B. Rubchak's epic works are introduced. B. Rubchak's creative work is the significant manifestation of the Ukrainian late modernism, with the obvious influence of surrealism and existentiality. The stranger's motives of liminality are proved to be prevailing in his poetry, prose as well as literary critical works. Intellectuality, elite-like and intermedial dimensions of B. Pubchak's poetics are introduced as orientated to the best world culture tendencies.
