Yuzkiv H. Petrarchism Constant in Ukrainian Love Lyrics (V. Sosiura, V. Symonenko, M. Vinhranovskyi)

The dissertation presents the first attempt to analyse Petrarchism in Ukrainian love lyrics, based on the poetry of V. Sosiura, V. Symonenko, and M. Vinhranovskyi. The dissertation has revealed specificity of Platonic feelings as the highest manifestation of sublimation. The motifs of structuring an image of the ideal and perfect woman as the embodiment of man's understanding of her have been clarified. The determinant dominants and constants of the style, which has spread out from the Renaissance period in European literature, have been revealed, demonstrating its viability in modern poetry and in Ukrainian (the national variant of Petrarchism).
