Essay

The increasing of metabolic, immunological and functional deteriorations caused by immobilization and electrical painful stimulation in male Wistar rats under condition of reserpine administration (2,5 mg/kg, i.p.) have been established. Combined usage of L-deprenyl and pentoxyphilline in dosages which have not been effective when administered separetively (0,2 and 25,0 mg/kg, i.p. correspondently) protected from stress-induced deteriorations of glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, catalase, superoxide dismutase activities, increasing of malondialdehyde, level of ?-oxyproline, ?-oxylisine, corticotropin, corticosterone, gastrin level, increasing of activity of hyaluronidase, alkaline phosphatase in blood. Protection was seen with respect to stress – induced both reduction of uronic acid, hexosamines content and rising of the level of ?-galactosidase and ?-glucuronidase activity in stomack and pancreatic tissue. Usage of L-deprenyl and pentoxyphillin prevented inflammation, which was manifested in macromorphological and histological deteriorations of both gastric mucosa and pancreatic tissue, deteriorations of both cell and humoral compartments of immunological reactivity, stress – induced behavioral deteriorations along with brain excitability disturbances.
