Shishova T. Economical and biological evaluation of introduced nectarine varieties in the conditions of South Coast of the Crimea

Object of research - biological peculiarities and economically valuable characteristics of foreign nectarine varieties in conditions of introductions. Aim of research - to give economical and biological evaluation and to select the most valuable for breeding introduced nectarine varieties in conditions of South Coast of the Crimea. Methods of research: phenological studying, methods of laboratory and field experiment, methods of matematics analysis of experimental data. The results of research - the biological peculiarities have been determined; the complex evaluation of economically valuable characteristics of 18 introduced nectarine varieties has been done. The periods, length of blossomand ripening of studied varieties have been established. Their frost-resistance, drought-resisitance, resistance to fungi diseases have been revealed. The evaluation of productivity, quality of fruits have been given. Varieties with valuable characteristics for breeding have been selected. Varieties Red Gold, Le Grand, Nectalate, 40 years of Uzbekistan, Big Top, Venus characterized with complex of valuable biological properties and industrial characteristics have been recommended for selection.
