Essay

The thesis deals with the problem concerning teaching written communication at secondary general educational school. The methodology has been theoretically substantiated. The aim and the content of teaching German after English have been determined. Preconditions of the use of the project method at secondary general educational school are analyzed and its expediency is proved. Requirements to the organization of training process are concretized. Linguistic peculiarities of German-written text types are determined. The comparative characteristic of linguistic peculiarities of texts in German and English is carried out. As a result of the research a system of exercises to teach written communication has been created and theoretically substantiated. Its effectiveness was verified and confirmed during the experimental teaching. Methodological recommendations on how to apply the system of exercises have been developed and are being applied in practice of teaching pupils at several secondary general educational schools.
