Kutsevol O. Yuri Shovkoplyas' Creativity and Socialism Realist Canon in Ukrainian Literature of 30s-60s of the XX th century

The object of the thesis is Y. Shovkoplyas' prose. The aim of the thesis is to define the complex characteristics of Y. Shovkoplyas' life and creativity in the context Ukrainian literature of Socialist Realism of 1930-1960th. Methods used in the research are cultural-historical, structural, biographical, elements of psychological method. The novelty of the thesis is in the attempt of the complex analysis of Y. Shovkoplyas' creativity, particularly the peculiarities of the writer's artistic conception were described, on the basis of which the successive analysis of subject matter, range of problems, prose writer' s creativity image system were done. Also for the first time Y. Shovkoplyas' creativity is examined in the context of Socialist Realism. The results of the research conducted may be applied at studying the Ukrainian prose of 30-60th of the 20th century at the higher educational establishments, within special courses and seminars and further studying of Y. Shovkoplyas' creativity. The field is the philology
